Tributes
  1. In MEMORY OF MY VERY DEAR FRIEND ROBERT, with whom I shared laughter, delightful Conversation and Companionship over many years.

I shall remember Robert always with great affection, for he gave generously of his loyal friendship, his kindness, his wit and humour and his generosity in sharing a deep knowledge of, amongst many things, an interest in the historic decorative arts and architecture.
These few words do not convey adequately, my appreciation of Robert’s fine friendship, for words alone do express my love for and the degree of loss of such a wonderful and talented friend.

Miss Jillian (as dear Robert always called me).

  4. To all his family, we offer you our heartfelt condolences. Robert was a dear friend. His prodigious skills and knowledge were manifest in the way he undertook clock restoration, with a critical eye not only for the function, but also the period aesthetics. He loved to be with people, to yarn and to laugh, with his wicked sense of humour. He was generous. Music was in him; his love of old school operatic singing and his own beautiful voice. He will be terribly missed. Piero, Maggie and family
