CONNELL Jay

Taken from us tragically in unexpected circumstances. Beloved partner of Debbie and an ongoing source of entertainment and wisdom to his adult children, a great mate to his ex-wife Trudy and a devoted, dearly loved “Old Pops” to his grandkids. He had a great sense of humour and was quick to laugh at anything remotely ridiculous including himself. Jay was a charismatic character and generally known as a “top bloke”, his extensive family and his mates meant the world to him, with his toys and outdoor activities a close second. You will be missed like you wouldn’t believe Old Pops. Take it easy.

Jay, although we parted a long time ago you left a legacy, Jess, Dan, Alex and 9 wonderful grandies. I am sure I will see your creativity, spirit and stubbornness in them. Thanks Old Pops. Love Trude.

Family and friends of Mr Jay Connell are warmly invited to attend his funeral to be held at The Don Centre, 100 Don Road, Devonport on MONDAY, September 10, 2018 at 1.30pm, after which a private cremation will take place at Mersey Gardens Crematorium Devonport. In Lieu of flowers donations to Glenhaven Family Care, in Jay’s memory can be made at the service.
