Tributes
  1. My earliest memory of Miss Shipp was as a young teacher. A refreshing and vibrant presence in a tiny single room primary school located at Apsley in the West Wimmera region of Victoria. I was one of her pupils. Neville Cayley’s ‘What Bird Is that ?’ is a treasured Christmas present from Des & Melita, annotated in Melita’s very neat script. I still frequently refer to that book. Stephen Martinich, nephew of Melita & Des.

  2. Fondly remember to this day of Melita and Des being our baby sitters for myself and elder sister Cherie. Listening to stories, especially regarding that white VW bug that Melita got around in.
    Fond memories Nick Martinich.
